What is Project Lemonade Stand?

The Story

A few weeks ago, my kids approached me for the second year in a row asking how they could make some extra money for Christmas. This is where Project Lemonade Stand was born. (View available boards)

The concept could be simple in nature; have my kids help out a bit, while I do most of the work. While they learn no valuable skills.

Who got time for that? Instead, I decided to teach them valuable skills that they could use later on in life. Lessons school won’t teach them. Throughout this project, they learned quite a few things such as how to project COGS, just-in-time inventory concepts, marketing lessons, and many other aspects of business. Not only that. Each and every charcuterie board will be worked on by them (don’t worry, not the dangerous, finger-cutting type of work).

My kids have an ambitious goal—to create 60 charcuterie boards or one of our other products by Christmas.

The Charcuterie Boards & Other Products

Now that you know the story, on to the charcuterie boards and other products.

We are producing each product in small batches of 5-10. We will use different types of wood and will likely mix it up. The types of wood will range from walnut, sapele, maple, cherry, to other more exotic types of wood. Interested in a type specifically? Let us know here.
